DISPENSING
We can dispense both NHS and private prescriptions and we
stock, or can obtain, a wide range of medicines.
We
encourage our regular patients to register with us so that, when
we dispense your prescriptions, we have a record of the items
dispensed. When you next bring a prescription here, our records
will quickly tell us whether you may safely take a medicine with
other medicines you may have received.
Our labels automatically give you warnings about alcohol, drowsiness,
driving and so on.
VITAMINS
AND MINERALS
Among the wide range of Vitamins and food supplements, we
have our own range of Vitamin and Minerals. The soft gelatin capsules
are manufactured by a Pharmaceutical Licensed Company. The tablets
and hard gel capsules are manufactured by companies conforming
to the Good Manufacturing Practice standards and to ISO9001. They
are packed for us by a company approved by the environmental health
and trading standards,
By
using these companies we are able to offer consistency of supply
and give a product that is good value for money.

on Vitamins and minerals etc. are available at all branches.
MEDICINE CONTAINERS
We put all tablets and capsules in child resistant containers
unless you ask us not to. This does not mean that they are child
proof - nothing is! - so KEEP ALL MEDICINES OUT OF CHILDREN'S
SIGHT AND REACH. To help elderly and confused people take their
medicines correctly we can recommend special containers marked
with daily or weekly doses.
MEDICINE SALES
There is always a Pharmacist available to give you advice
on treating minor illnesses. We have a semi-private area where
you can speak in confidence to the Pharmacist. ASK YOUR PHARMACIST
FOR ADVICE AND ALWAYS MENTION IF YOU ARE TAKING OTHER MEDICINES.
EMERGENCY SUPPLIES
We may be able to help if you need a prescription in an emergency
when it is impossible to get to your doctor. We can only do this
in genuine emergencies and we will need to see you in person with
proof of a previous prescription, because this cannot be done
under the NHS we have to make a charge.
UNWANTED
MEDICINES
Return all unwanted medicines to a Pharmacy where they can
be safely destroyed. Please do not hoard medicines - it can be
fatal.
INCONTINENCE SUPPLIES
We can advise you in confidence about helpful items such as
pads, pants, mattress covers, sheets and anything else you need.
HOSIERY
We can supply a wide range of special kinds of NHS stockings.
We also sell support tights.
OSTOMY SUPPLIES
We can supply a wide range of ostomy products and can advise
on their use.
SMOKING CESSATION
There are many effective products, from chewing gum to patches,
that we can advise you on to assist you in giving up smoking.

COLLECTION
AND DELIVERY OF PRESCRIPTIONS
In many cases we can arrange to collect your prescription
from the Doctors surgery so that it is ready for you to collect
when you visit our pharmacy. We are also happy to arrange delivery
of dispensed prescriptions to housebound patients.

CHIROPODY
These days there is a much wider choice of foot care products
and we are always pleased to advise you about any particular need
or problem.
HOLIDAY NEEDS
The Pharmacist is always glad to give advice on things you
may need for your holiday - from upset tummy remedies, malaria
precautions and inoculations to suntan preparations and sunglasses.
OXYGEN THERAPY EQUIPMENT
We supply oxygen equipment prescribed on the NHS and have
many sets out on loan. We deliver oxygen to patients homes throughout
the area.
PREGNANCY AND BABY CARE
Always mention to the Pharmacist if you are pregnant.
We can advise you on which medicines can safely be taken during
pregnancy and also whilst breast feeding. We can help you in choosing
milks, foods and other items for babies and toddlers such as nappies
and skin care. We can also give advice when buying medicines for
children of all ages.
BLOOD PRESSURE
We have a Blood Pressure Monitoring Machine at our branch
at 5 Somerset Square, Nailsea. The Pharmacist will be pleased
to explain the results to you.
DISPENSING OF URGENT PRESCRIPTIONS
The doctor writing an urgent prescription will be aware
of the emergency arrangements for dispensing prescriptions. In
exceptional circumstances please contact your local police station.

All branches stock a range of films and offer a 'next day'
developing and printing service.
